LOVE ME TODAY?

How Did Daddy Love Me Today? is a children’s story written from a child’s viewpoint.  Each night before going to bed Jared, a little boy tries to determine if his daddy loves him.  “Does Daddy love me, Mommy?” he asked almost daily when his mother puts him to bed.  Mommy reminds him of the special things his father does that confirm his love for his son.

In the end, mom and dad change roles to reassure their son that both parents love him.  The story is a lesson to all that some actions carry more weight in the eyes of a child although other actions are as equally important.  It provides parents and child with a creative way of brining this valuable to light.

“Everyone needs to feel loved, but sometimes love is not an outward show of emotion.  I think we as parents sometimes need to be reminded the importance of demonstrating affection in ways our child understands.” - Patricia Larson

Patricia Larson Biography

Born and raised in the beautiful rolling hills of Wisconsin, I grew up during the 50s and 60s, one of fifteen children. Less than a half mile from our house was a one-room schoolhouse that I attended until junior high.

I graduated high school in 1971 and got married. My husband and I built the home we live in, raised seven daughters and are blessed with many grandchildren; a constant source of entertainment, laughter and joy.

For many years I worked with preschool children and their families which was, without question, the most rewarding experience I’ve had outside the home. Reading to youngsters every day gave me a greater understanding of children and the importance that books are in their development.

It is nice to think I might be responsible for planting that seed that takes off and grows.
