This is a feel good story about a young boy named Bruce who has a very needy friend named Joshua. Josh wants more than anything to go home with Bruce and spend more time with him. Unfortunately, Bruce isn't too keen on that idea so he continuously makes excuses.

One day persistent Josh sneaks a peak through the window and sees Bruce reading books and playing board games with Mrs. Whitfield. Joshua wants now more than ever to get into Bruce's house to see what the big deal is.

Eventually, Bruce introduces Josh to his Mom. The boys enjoy playing games and having a story read to them.

During their walk home to Josh's house.

He tells Bruce how much he admires Mrs. Whitfield for spending quality time with him, and Bruce has the revelation that his Mom “Is Pretty Special.”

Ann M. Logan

Ann M. Logan is generally one who when thrown a lemon almost immediately turns it into lemonade. After becoming ill she kept trying to turn her sickness into lemonade and when it wasn't working she realized she may have been using the wrong ingredients.

Ann kept hoping that she would just simply bounce out of bed and go right back to being the mom that her kids were used-to-having. When that did not happen she allowed her guilt to take over and lost one of the main ingredients to delicious "lemonade" and that was just plain old consistency.  Once this ingredient was added, the lemonade was ready.

Her illness began in 1993 and she was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1998.  Although her pursuit of a bachelor in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts was interrupted, Ann has since become an inspiration to others through mentoring and she is now an accomplished Author.

Ann is a native of Boston, Massachusetts and currently resides in Milton, Massachusetts with her family.
